Barking & Dangenham College works with Sev Necati Training

Learners at the Barking and Dagenham College have been finding out how to keep themselves and their belongings safe around College and on the street, whilst socialising and where they live.  They were educated on how gangs work and why it is important to avoid becoming part of that culture, even under peer pressure.

Feedback from learners was positive.

Comments from learners:
“ The session was interesting, it made me think about my behaviour and how to stay safe, where I live and not to be influenced by my freinds to say yes, when I don't want to do something."

“I enjoyed the personal safety and self-defence .”

“You learned information that was good and interesting .”

“How to use your voice.”

“The demostrations and knowledge.”

“It has made me more aware.”

“I learn't alot.”

“I learn't a lot of information and there was activities I participated in.”

“Sev kept us engaged.”
"The safety tips."

Previous work in the college earlier in the year was proved to also be successful:

“This was an informative workshop that held the attention of our learners throughout. Sev has a good understanding of relating to young people and offering practical easy to understand advice on personal safety. I would recommend this workshop to other Schools and Colleges.”
