Islington Council, Hungerford Children's Centre work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hungerford Children’s Centre and Islington Council, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  

The project worked with females in the local area, parents from the school and children's centre. The females came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The project had the females engaged in discussions, around domestic and sexual violence, as well as street violence and they took part in various practical activities in self-defence.

Hungerford School and Children’s Centre provides a wide range of high quality services to children and families. The Children's Centre is on a split site incorporating two locations on the Hungerford School campus, Goodinge Early Years Centre and Robert Blair Primary School. Their aim is to provide services which are needed by the community to bring about significant life changes for families with children five years or younger.  The services are not static as they change to reflect the needs of the community, but currently include: stay and play provision, breast feeding support, homeopathy and reflexology, keep in shape classes, English as an additional language classes and a range of workshops covering topics such as toilet training and safety at home.
