Sev Necati Training works with the University of East London (UEL)

Sev Necati worked in partnership with University of East London (UEL) to deliver awareness and avoidance training to their staff and management.

The training delivered to staff and management included teaching them to be aware, evaluate and diffuse situations. It provided a forum where they were able to ask questions about their own personal fears they may have in and outside of the workplace. They took part in a practical where what they had learnt in theory they could see and use in reality.

Sev worked with the staff and management at the new SportsDock. On March 12th SportsDock will open its doors to UEL students, staff and the local community. A £21 million state-of-the-art sports facility.

Comments for staff and management:

“We learnt how to deal with aggressive behaviour and read body language.”

“I enjoyed the areas covered about awareness and self-defence.”

“The role-playing was fun and interactive.”

“The session was very informative.”

“I liked that we covered the law and body language.”

“The role-playing helped the team bond.”

“I enjoyed learning how to block danger and how to stop getting stabbed.”

“We learnt how to address potentially violent situations.”

A Global Learning Community with internationally recognized research. UEL has strong links with local and national businesses and an outstanding record in widening access to students from non-traditional backgrounds.

At the BUCS Annual Awards Ceremony, UEL staff and students were rewarded for all their hard work over the past year by winning BUCS Most Improved University in Sport. This is another big step forward towards UEL’s goal of becoming the number one university for sport in London by 2015.

Some of the world’s top athletes will be on site at UEL throughout the Games. UEL’s Docklands and Stratford campuses will play host to the thousand-strong team, with many athletes training at SportsDock, the brand new state-of-the-art sports facility.

CONEL works with Sev Necati Training

Learners at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London have been finding out how to keep themselves and their belongings safe around College and on the street from a successful former learner who delivered a series of much wanted sessions last year.

"The personal safety awareness workshops for our learners was one of the most exciting energising and interactive workshop I have witnessed in my working in Further Education. The feedback from learners and tutor was so positive that we will definitely have Sev back in to work with our learners again. In the workshops you can hear and see the learners growing in confidence. At the end of each workshop the learners’ only complaints are that they want more session's with Sev, she is an outstanding workshop facilitator. "

Anthony Robinson, Enrichment Manager
