Sev Necati Training works with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation

Sev Necati Training worked with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and it's young people through the Kickz project in Waltham Forest to deliver "Personal Safety" session to young people aged between 10-16.

The young people that engaged in the session were from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities, with both females and males participating in the session.

The session was a combination of talk and practical in personal safety. Teaching young people how to be safe on the street, street awareness and practical techniques in self-defence.

“I liked how she showed you how to stand up for yourself”

“I learnt different techniques on how to protect myself"

“I really enjoyed the role play"

“I liked how I learned to defend myself”

In 2006, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation was selected as one of the four professional football clubs to pilot a Kickz project. Five years on, the Foundation has 8 kickz projects running.

Kickz uses sport and, in particular football as a catalyst for positive change but it is more than just football, it is about creating opportunities that can help change young people's lives, helping them to build their self-esteem and channel their energies in a positive direction and to help support them to achieve and fulfil their full potential.

Glen Hicks who looks after the delivering of the programme was very pleased with how Sev worked and engaged with the young people, saying the young people's feedback was positive.
