Sev Necati Training works with Young Hackney & Hackney Giving

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Young Hackney, and Hackney Giving, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with women and girls from the local community.  The women and girls came from various backgrounds. 
The group took part in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence.  All females had an increase in confidence and self-worth and felt empowered at the end of the project.

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hoxton Hall & CDF

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hoxton Hall, and CDF, to deliver our project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with local females from various backgrounds and cultures and abilities.  Young females and adults were engaged in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence and personal safety.  Taking part in various drills, including chokes and holds.  All females felt empowered at the end of the project.

Islington Council, Hungerford Children's Centre work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hungerford Children’s Centre and Islington Council, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  

The project worked with females in the local area, parents from the school and children's centre. The females came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The project had the females engaged in discussions, around domestic and sexual violence, as well as street violence and they took part in various practical activities in self-defence.

CDF, Millfields Community School & Children's Centre work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Millfield’s Community School, Children’s Centre and CDF, to deliver our project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project proved to be popular with females in the local area and parents from the school signing up for it.  The females came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The 6 week project had the females engaged in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence, floor and knife work.

Millfields is a much larger than average primary school. The school serves an area of significant deprivation and its pupils represent a very wide range of ethnic backgrounds, with the largest groups being those of Asian, White, Black Caribbean and Black African heritage.

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Barnet Futureversity

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Barnet Futureversity as part of their positive future programme to deliver a workshop to young people aged 14-25.  The aim of the course was for young people to feel safer on the streets, increase their awareness, to feel fitter and increase their confidence levels.  Young people from varied backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities took part, including those that had special needs.

CDF & Morning Side Estate work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Morning Side Estate and CDF, to deliver several training programmes for young girls and boys to reduce the fear of crime and violence.  The young girls and boys came from the local estate and area.  Discussions amongst their peer group took place as well as taking part in personal safety and self-defence training skills.  

Young people aged 8 and above were taking part in project.  They came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The young girls group especially appreciated the knowledge and expertise of Sev as she could relate to their everyday fears of being able to feel safe especially in their area, home and school.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • ·         Reported domestic abuse incidents rose last year in London by 23 percent. 
  • Sexual bullying and coercion in schools and neighbourhoods, links between youth and sexual violence.
  • The peak age for both females and males to offend is 14 or 15.
  •  26% of females experience Domestic Violence by the age of 16.
  • 42% between 18-29, 21% of girls experience sexual abuse (NSPCC research).

Sev Necati Training works with Brent Housing Partnership (BHP)

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Brent Housing Association at Henderson House to deliver a female based workshop for local people who live on the estate and in the local community in personal safety and self-defence.

The free programme was popular with females that took part.  They were from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, age range and abilities and those from Black, Asian and Ethic Minority Groups (BAME).  They all took part in discussions and practical exercises in self-defence.

Brent Housing Partnership (BHP) is the company that looks after 13,600 council properties in Brent.

They offer support to residents so they can live in their home independently and encourages all our residents to get involved.

They also look after communal areas, gardens, carry out repairs, service gas installations, collect rent and manage problems between neighbours.
