Sev Necati works with Hyde Housing

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hyde Housing, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with women and girls from the local housing group, the stone bridge centre, and local people from the surrounding community.

The all-female group expressed how they felt more confident and assertive about personal safety.  They were able to benefit from learning real life practical personal safety techniques and self-defence.

The project encouraged social inclusion by encouraging different members of the community from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities to come together in one setting, share their own personal experiences in a confidential way, assist each other in resolving some of these challenging such as feeling isolated and being fearful of violence and working together with practical activities to build up each other’s confidence levels.
