Sev Necati works with Hyde Housing

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hyde Housing, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with women and girls from the local housing group, the stone bridge centre, and local people from the surrounding community.   


The all-female group expressed how they felt more confident and assertive about personal safety.  They were able to benefit from learning real life practical personal safety techniques and self-defence.

“I enjoyed learning the different techniques on how to defend myself.  My favourite was the knee and elbow techniques as I realized the amount of power I could have if I was ever in a dangerous situation.”

The project encouraged social inclusion by encouraging different members of the community from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities to come together in one setting, share their own personal experiences in a confidential way, assist each other in resolving some of these challenging such as feeling isolated and being fearful of violence and working together with practical activities to build up each other’s confidence levels.

Sev Necati works with NLMC

Sev Necati worked in partnership with North London Muslim Centre (NLMC), and The Funding Network, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with women and girls from the local community centre, imaan youth and local people from the surrounding community.  

Discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence and personal safety took place.  The women and girls came from a variety of backgrounds, abilities and culture’s.  They were able to work well together in understanding how violence could affect all females and how to empower themselves with new knowledge and skills, as well as providing support for one another.

Sev Necati Training works with HMP

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hackney Marsh Partnership (HMP), and Hackney Giving, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  

"Sev started her self defense course at our local community centre. The feed back we got was from all of the students both young and old. All the students thought it was a great course not only did they learn self defense but also their legal rights. The course is suitable for all ages and abilities Sev ensures that no one is left out if they wish to learn. I feel it was the best self defense course we have had at our centre, and look forward to working again with Sev when we can raise some more funding."

The project worked with women and girls from the local Kingsmead Estate and the surrounding community.  The group took part in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence.  All females had an increase in confidence and self-worth and felt empowered at the end of the project.

Sev Necati Training works with Young Hackney & Hackney Giving

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hoxton Hall & CDF

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hoxton Hall, and CDF, to deliver our project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project worked with local females from various backgrounds and cultures and abilities.  Young females and adults were engaged in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence and personal safety.  Taking part in various drills, including chokes and holds.  All females felt empowered at the end of the project.

Islington Council, Hungerford Children's Centre work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Hungerford Children’s Centre and Islington Council, to deliver our award winning project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  

The project worked with females in the local area, parents from the school and children's centre. The females came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The project had the females engaged in discussions, around domestic and sexual violence, as well as street violence and they took part in various practical activities in self-defence.

CDF, Millfields Community School & Children's Centre work with Sev Necati Training

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Millfield’s Community School, Children’s Centre and CDF, to deliver our project “Women & Young People’s Safety Solution.”  The project proved to be popular with females in the local area and parents from the school signing up for it.  The females came from various backgrounds and cultures and were of mixed ability.  The 6 week project had the females engaged in discussions as well as practical activities in self-defence, floor and knife work.

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Barnet Futureversity

Sev Necati worked in partnership with Barnet Futureversity as part of their positive future programme to deliver a workshop to young people aged 14-25.  The aim of the course was for young people to feel safer on the streets, increase their awareness, to feel fitter and increase their confidence levels.  Young people from varied backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities took part, including those that had special needs.
