The Metropolitan Police & The Laundry Club work with Sev Necati Training


Sev Necati worked in partnership with The Metropolitan Police and The Laundry Club, to deliver two training programme for young people to reduce the fear of crime, gang violence, and street crime.

The Laundry club offers children and young people at risk of social exclusion activities and programmes advice, information, support, to improve life chances through access to education, training and work.

The Metropolitan Police & Youth Services work with Sev Necati Training


Sev Necati worked in partnership with The Metropolitan Police and Young Hackney, to deliver a training programme for young people to reduce the fear of crime and violence, and improve their overall quality of life. 
Training Programme Benefits & Outcomes
  1. Young people's fear of crime, especially street violence, robbery, bullying and victimisation were reduced.
  2. Self-esteem, self-awareness and confidence levels and quality of life improved.
  3. Increase in their confidence within the community.
  4. Young people learn't practical solutions on how to protect themselves without the need to carry illegal weapons.

The new hub in North Side Hackney provides an area for young people to take part in a range of recreational activities and offers advice and guidance, it also works with young people who need extra support.

The personal safety session was excellent; practical, relevant and energetic. The facilitator engaged enthusiastically with the young people who seemed to respect her expertise. All young people should have the opportunity to learn these skills.”
